Boca Fiesta Grand Opening!

Ok so actually the grand opening was Monday but Gainesville just got its first west coast style taco shop, Boca Fiesta. It's downtown in the sun center in the former location of Thai Fusion Cafe. They use a lot of organic and vegetarian products in their tacos and have brought one of the first Fish Tacos in the region.

Karma Cream Opens!

So after months of wondering what exactly would be coming in the mysteriously covered up site on west university Karma Cream has opened.
Karma Cream is an ice-cream shop which gets as many of its ingredients fair trade as possible. (beyond coffee vanilla ect) They also use recycled plastic spoons and offer vegan ice cream options.

The Jones Eastside Gets a Menu

This past week JRameau, our programmer in chief, added a "feedback" tool on MenuWall. It's that feedback button that floats on the bottom right corner of every page.(this is in addition to not instead of the "report it" button)

Almost immediately two people contacted us about the Jones Eastside not having a menu. I put up the Jones Eastside Menu today. For those of you who haven't been it's a local family owned place that serves homemade healthy food with a concious. (meaning using as much locally grown and organic produce as possible as well as fair traid coffee, ect)

Thanks everybody that has been using the "feedback" tool and visiting Menuwall its really helping keep us the most comprehensive and up to date guide on the net.

Updates: Category Heaven

This week I implemented two small but critical updates to the interface.  Many might have figured out Gainesville doesn’t have any Amish restaurants, so why would Amish pop up on the left Category bar.  Issues my friends, which are resolved, now only the categories corresponding to the city are shown.  If you wanted know, Sarasota has a strong Amish community with several Amish style restaurants.

The second update is better illustrated by the image shown to the left, whenever you are on a Restaurant page, the categories of that restaurant are easily found where they should be, on the category bar.

I am the main programmer/web designer for Menuwall. We are currently embarking on the next level of Menuwall and Andrew couldn't have state it better with his last post, "Moving on Up."
